The Vienna Classic Piano Competition is one of six contests organised as part of the preselection process for the 2028 Classic Piano International Competition. Taking place from 15–17 October 2027, pianists compete over two rounds for a €35,000 prize fund and a chance to win entry to the invite-only Classic Piano competition in Barcelona (10–20 September 2028) with all expenses paid. The competition features a handpicked 7-person international jury board.
