Colors of Chopin is an international online piano competition created in tribute to the music of Frédéric François Chopin. The competition welcomes pianists of all ages, nationalities, and levels. While the competition is designed to celebrate Chopin's work with additional prizes awarded specifically for Chopin compositions, participants are also invited to perform music by all composers, allowing them to present repertoire with which they feel most comfortable and demonstrate the best of themselves. The competition operates through age groups and expert categories, giving participants multiple pathways to compete. The organizers emphasize a philosophy of appreciating each individual's interpretation and musical personality, treating with curiosity and respect what each participant chooses to present. The competition values versatility and equality among pianists, ensuring that all competitors receive individual attention and insightful evaluation. The competition features a panel of highly experienced judges: Daria Zurawlowa (Barcelona, Spain), Gabriela Glapska (Wellington, New Zealand), Michał Nowak (Berlin, Germany), and Arnold Gniwek (Gdańsk, Poland). These judges are tasked with assessing the essence of each performance and evaluating the overall outline of musical personality. The competition operates on an online format, with the next application deadline set for 15 August 2026 and results announced on 30 August 2026. The competition is a partner of the Universal Maestro Society.
