The Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra is holding auditions for the position of second principal double bass. Auditions will be held on 30 November, 1 and 3 December 2026 in Amsterdam. Candidates should prepare repertoire including Johann Sebastian Bach, Suite in e minor, BWV 996, Allemande and Gigue, with the complete repertoire list available in Muvac. The Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra works to provide its members with suitable instruments, which are loaned to the musicians during their employment with the orchestra. The organization reserves the right to make a preliminary selection based on received applications. Online applications must be submitted via Muvac.
