A home for every classical musician's next chapter
Classical Board was built out of a simple frustration: opportunities in classical music are scattered across dozens of orchestra websites, conservatoire noticeboards, Facebook groups, and mailing lists, and most people only ever see a fraction of them. We wanted one place where a violinist in Manila, a conductor in Vienna, and a piano dealer in Toronto could all find each other.
Our Mission
We believe finding the next opportunity, whether it's a chair in an orchestra, a teaching post at a conservatoire, a place on a summer masterclass, or a well-loved instrument, shouldn't mean scouring dozens of scattered noticeboards. Classical Board brings performance jobs, teaching and administrative roles, degree courses, short courses, competitions, instrument sales, and even stolen-instrument alerts together in one carefully curated place, so you can spend less time searching and more time practising.
What You'll Find Here
Alongside our eight listing categories (Performance Jobs, Teaching Jobs, Admin Jobs, Degree Courses, Courses, Competitions, Instrument Sales, and Stolen Instruments), Classical Board is also home to a growing world map of Organizations (orchestras, conservatoires, youth orchestras, and recording studios), an Academic section for PhD funding, scholarships, and calls for papers, and a daily-updated News feed pulling headlines from trusted classical music publications. Every visitor can browse freely, save favourites, and search across the whole site from any page; no account is required until you're ready to apply or publish.
Built on Trust
Every listing submitted to Classical Board, whether it's a job, a course, or an instrument for sale, is reviewed by a real person on our team before it goes live. We hold every submission to the same standard: clear information, a genuine point of contact, and a real photo or logo. If something looks wrong once it's live, any visitor can report it, and we'll take a second look. It's a small amount of friction that keeps the platform trustworthy for everyone who relies on it.
A Global, Multilingual Community
Classical music doesn't stop at a border, and neither should the search for opportunity. Classical Board is available in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Japanese, Chinese, and Turkish, with more languages planned, so musicians and institutions everywhere can use the site in the language they think in.
Free, For Everyone
Browsing, applying, and publishing on Classical Board is completely free, for musicians and for the orchestras, schools, and dealers who post here. We built this platform because we love this profession, not to put another paywall between musicians and their next opportunity.
